You can create PostgreSQL and Redis databases. MySQL isn't offered. See Databases overview.
WordPress
HCode doesn't offer WordPress sites.
Cron jobs and scheduled tasks
HCode has no scheduled jobs. If you need tasks on a timer, run the scheduler inside an app or worker that stays running.
Apps don't sleep
Apps keep running until you stop them, whether or not anyone visits. See Start, stop and restart.
Where your code can come from
A GitHub repository or a .zip upload. See Deploy from GitHub and Deploy from a zip file.
Preview deployments
The dashboard has no preview or pull request deployments. Each project deploys the branch set on it.
Sending email from your app
Outbound connections to the SMTP ports 25, 465, 587 and 2525, and to the POP and IMAP ports 110, 143, 993 and 995, are blocked. Send email through your provider's HTTPS API instead. See Sending email.
Paying, changing plan and cancelling
All of this happens in the HostAfrica client panel. Manage subscription on the Subscription page takes you there. See Plans and billing.
Zanode customers
Zanode accounts haven't moved to HCode yet, so keep signing in at app.zanode.co.za. All Zanode customers will be emailed about the move. To move now, email [email protected].
